As a Midwest crunchy mama, I’ve had my fair share of challenges when it comes to raising rambunctious little ones. We’ve installed a backup generator to keep the lights on and Bellamy’s medical equipment running during power outages, and we’ve even set aside a safe room where we can shelter in place if necessary.
Of course, no home is ever truly immune to every threat, but by layering our defenses and thinking creatively, we’ve been able to create a safe haven for our family – one that’s ready to weather any storm, whether it’s a crafty burglar or a medical emergency.
